Aloha Nichole,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my
favorite Disney Resort hotels, and
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show would be a great way to enjoy a special evening! You'll feel like you've been transported to a tropical island oasis and be treated to some authentic Polynesian food and entertainment.
While your dinner experience will not include any Disney characters, you will find hula dancers, musicians, and a fire-knife performance that you'll "Ooh" and "Aah" over. There will even be some opportunities for crowd participation and interaction that you'll really enjoy. With a Category 2 seat, you'll be pre-assigned a seat either in the center of the upper level (which is really only a couple of steps above the lower level) or slightly to the side of the Category 1 seats on the lower level. There are high chairs, booster seats, or extra seat cushions in case any member of your party needs a little boost to see the show well.
Your meal will be served right at your table for you, and the great news is that it's all-you-care-to-enjoy, so feel free to ask for more of whatever you'd like! You'll even find some kid-friendly options for any picky eaters in your party.
I do want to point out that you'll need to arrive at Luau Cove 30 - 60 minutes before showtime, and since it's a bit of a walk from the Main Lobby of Great Ceremonial House, you'll want to be sure to allow plenty of travel time! I'd actually encourage you to arrive even earlier so that you have enough time to explore all of the incredible features of the Resort hotel, both inside and out. It's
gorgeous!
Thanks so much for visiting me at the Disney Parks Moms Panel again, Nichole, and please let me know if I can help with anything else as you're
planning your trip!
Missy
