Ahoy, Denise!
If your son is anything like mine, he'll love experiencing all the
Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab have to offer on your upcoming sailing on the Disney Dream! These two incredibly themed spaces are designed for cruisers ages 3-12 to enjoy during operating hours, which run from early in the morning until late at night! There is no additional fee for your son to explore the areas or participate in the programming offered. The two spaces are connected, so all the sailors checked in can go between the club and lab as long as one is not offering an Open House. (Open House times are available at some point during the day to allow families or Guests older than 12 to enjoy one of the areas.) Youth counselors are there to lead the activities, engage the children and make sure everyone is safe. The planned activities each day will be listed in your cruise newsletter that you'll receive in your stateroom each evening (the first one is given to you at the cruise terminal). My son always likes to check out what's being offered the next day and marks his "must-dos." Some of his favorites include Super Sloppy Science, GAGA Ball, Piston Cup Challenge and Anyone Can Cook. He also has always enjoyed Magic PlayFloor!
Denise, no reservations are required. Just check the hours of operation in the cruise newsletter and your son can come and go as often as he likes! And it's important to know that sailors don't have to participate in the activities when checked in because the themed areas are also very engaging! The Disney Dream offers Andy's Room, Disney Infinity Game Room, Pixie Hollow and Star Wars: Millennium Falcon.
You can register onboard or online, Denise. If you want to register ahead of time, look for "Child Registration"under "My Cruise Reservation" once you are logged in to your cruise reservation on the Disney Cruise Line website.
