When exactly does the alien drop down on the Great Moovie Ride at DHS? We want to be prepared in advance by knowing when to cover little eyes and ears! Thanks!

I hear where you're coming from, I always have to prepare my kids (and myself) for that Great Movie Ride Alien.

The Alien scene directly follows the Gangster scene. The soundtrack announces that you're seeing Sigourney Weaver and then you pass through the Alien movie area. The actual alien dropping down from the ceiling occurs a full 30 seconds into the Alien section. You have plenty of time to brace yourself before anything frightening happens. My kids just keep their eyes closed for this whole part. This little bit of discomfort is worth passing through to get to the absolutely incredible Wizard of Oz scene at the end of the ride. Its' just like you're in Munchkinland!

    Enjoy your visit to WDW!
