What are the exact measurements for the DCL's Wave phones? I'm concerned on how my nephew (12) should carry the phone.on ship. He's very reliable - but still worried.

Welcome back, Patti! The Wave Phones on Disney Cruise Line are wonderful to have since so many of us are so tied to wireless phones back home, it's hard to imagine not being able to call a family member to find out exactly where they are - even in the middle of the ocean! But Disney has made that possible with the Wave Phone.

Each stateroom receives two, though additional units can be requested at a small daily charge. The Wave Phones are about the same size as an iPhone, though a bit thinner and taller, at about 5 inches tall by about 1 3/4 inches wide, and just under an inch thick. Many teens and tweens use these to keep in touch with their parents onboard, so it is a good idea for your nephew to have one available. However, you will sign a waiver that indicates that you are aware of the replacement charge should the phone be lost or damaged. Prices are always subject to change, but expect it to be about $250 should that happen.

I hope that information helps, Patti! Be sure to let me know if you have any other questions before the big sail date arrives! Have fun as you continue to plan!
