Hi Tineke, and welcome back to planDisney!
I’m so glad you asked about the
Disney Dining Plan. It’s one of my favorite ways to add a little extra magic (and convenience) to a Walt Disney World vacation. Not only can it help with budgeting ahead of time, but it also gives your trip more of that “all-inclusive” feel, especially if you love trying new restaurants or snacking your way through the parks.
As of May 12, 2025, here’s a general idea of what you can expect when it comes to cost:
• Disney Dining Plan: Just under $98 per adult, per night, and under $31 per child (ages 3–9), per night
• Quick-Service Dining Plan: Just under $60 per adult, per night, and under $25 per child, per night
These prices can change at anytime, so I always recommend confirming the latest rates when booking your vacation package. And just a heads up...gratuities aren’t included at most table-service restaurants, so you’ll want to budget a little extra for tips.
Now, choosing the right plan depends on how your family likes to dine. If you enjoy sit-down meals and character dining experiences, the Disney Dining Plan is a great fit. It includes one quick-service meal, one table-service meal, and a snack per night of your stay. For those who prefer to eat on the go and spend more time in the parks, the Quick-Service Dining Plan offers two quick-service meals and a snack per night, with no dining reservations needed.
If you’re booking a Disney Resort Hotel Package, you can add a Dining Plan during checkout. If you already have park tickets but still want to include a Dining Plan,
you can call and ask a Cast Member to convert your booking into a “ticketless package.”
Since it looks like you’re planning a fall visit, you’ll be just in time for the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. It’s the perfect place to use your dining plan snack credits to try global flavors from the festival marketplaces. In fact, the
Disney Parks Blog just shared some new details for this year’s event, so it’s a great time to start dreaming about your must-try dishes! One more tip: If you’re looking ahead to 2026, Disney is currently offering a special where
kids ages 3–9 get a free Dining Plan with the purchase of a qualifying vacation package. Just something to keep in mind for future trips!
I hope this gives you some delicious food for thought, Tineke. If you have any more questions as you plan, we’re always here and happy to help.
Bon appétit!
