Welcome to planDisney, Cori! I’m so happy you contacted planDisney, and I love that you’re trying to track down that magical cup of cocoa from
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. My husband and I went last year, and we spent half the night hopping from complimentary cookie stop to cookie stop with our warm cups in hand!
You’re definitely not the only one trying to get Mickey’s secret recipe. I’ve seen several guests ask, and Cast Members have often shared that the complimentary cocoa is most likely Nestlé hot chocolate, and that they use double the powder to make it extra rich. When I called earlier today, two different Cast Members also mentioned that while Nestlé is commonly used, you’ll also find Joffrey’s and Ghirardelli hot cocoa served around Walt Disney World.
Also, there is a
party exclusive Frozen Hot Cocoa at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café, but that one is a for purchase Joffrey’s drink, not part of the complimentary offerings, so it's most likely the Nestlé brand that you tasted. If you’d like official confirmation, you can always email Guest.Services@DisneyWorld.com. They’re wonderful about researching questions like this, but it can take a few days to hear back.
And since you’re a Florida resident… if you find yourself at EPCOT for the
Festival of the Holidays, treat yourself to the Hot Cocoa Flight at Holiday Sweets & Treats. It features Christmas Sugar Cookie Hot Cocoa, Gingerbread Hot Cocoa, and Cookie Butter Hot Cocoa, all made by Joffrey’s, and reportedly they’re absolutely delicious!
I HO-HO-hope this helps, Cori!
Wishing you a magical holiday season,
Eean
