Hi Everyone! I was wondering if the Table Service restaurants would ever do take out? Perhaps the 50's Prime Time cafe. Would they make us a Boston Cream Parfait to go? Yum!!! Thanks

    Hi Lisa -

Take out from the theme park table service restaurants is a tricky topic. Some will do it, some won't, and some will do it on one day but not the next. And all of that seems to change almost daily.

My personal experience is that if you're seated at the restaurant having a meal, a request to have additional food packaged "to go" will almost always be honored. For example, several times my husband had to take a work call back at the hotel room while the rest of the family went to dinner. The restaurants were always great about boxing up a meal for me to take to him.

If you don't have any sort of reservation and you walk up to a restaurant and ask for a meal "to go," then you'll probably have 50/50 success with this depending on the time of day and how busy it is.

Given all that, in the case you describe, I think you'd have a very good shot at getting your parfait. Here's what to do: instead of going into the 50's Prime Time to order, go next door to the Tune Inn Lounge. The bar at the Tune Inn can serve you anything from the regular menu. I was at Disney's Hollywood Studios last month with my 11-year-old twins. They suddenly had a craving for a 50's Prime Time black & white malt, but it was quite crowded and we had no reservation. I went into the Tune Inn and asked for the malt in a disposable cup. They were happy to provide this and we were walking away with the malt about five minutes later. I believe you'd encounter a similar circumstance with the Parfait.

    Good luck!
