Hello to everyone, I am taking my family to WDW 4-26 to 5-3 I made dining reservations, planned our days, what to take with us, Im wondering if Im forgetting anything first time planning our vaca on my own Im a little nervous, thank you!!!

    Hi Melissa,

It sounds like you have done a great job planning, and have all the essentials crossed off . I like to make one small notebook, that I can carry in my bag, with all of our information that we might need, like dining reservations numbers, parade times we would like to make, even a budget plan for the day. I also include any emergency numbers we may need or insurance and flight information so everything is in one spot. I also like to make a visit to our dollar store for things I might have forgotten like rain ponchos, baby wipes and hand sanitizer. Be sure you have your camera ready and plenty of memory cards, batteries or anything else you may need. You do not want to miss any of these special moments.

There are a number of extras that our family enjoys and we try and prepare for those before we leave; for example the boys like to collect pressed pennies out of the machines. They save their pennies and quarters in M&M tubes to be prepared. They also like to collect Disney pins, so a fun activity before we leave is to purchase sale pins on line and get their lanyards ready for pin trading.

In regards to planning, check your schedule and make sure you have penciled in some free time to relax everyday and enjoy the pool or a nice activity out of the parks. This will help keep your energy level high and makes for a more enjoyable time. I like to call the dining reservation line about one to two weeks before our arrival to make sure I have all of our reservations noted correctly and I always check the local Orlando weather a day or two before our departure to make sure I have packed for the expected weather conditions.

Lastly, just enjoy! I am sure your plans are great so there is no need to worry. Hakuna Matata and have a great time!
