Ahoy, Karen!
I'm so glad you are back with another great cruise question. It's always important to do your homework before you set sail so there are not any surprises on your vacation next month! Disney Cruise Line's policy is that all Guests in the same stateroom must check-in together at the cruise terminal, so your grandson will need to be with you when you check-in with the cast member. You cannot receive a boarding number without checking in, so you will need to wait until the rest of your family arrives. This will give you the opportunity to take your embarkation photo together!
Also, since your grandson is in your stateroom, his parents will need to fill out a
Parental Debarkation Authorization Form. This form is required by Disney Cruise Line's Onboard Security for minors who want to disembark with an adult over the age of 18 not staying in their stateroom. If he wants to leave the ship with his parents or any other family member over 18, this form will need to be on file. It can be found at the bottom of the "My Online Check-In Overview" page on the Disney Cruise Line website. Please have your grandson's parents print it off and bring the completed form to Guest Services on Deck 3.
Karen, you are about a month away from your magical voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line! As you count down the final days, please let us know if you think of anything else.
Have a wonderful day!
Nancy
