Hiya, Amy! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney on your way to the Most Magical Place on Earth. It looks like your trip to
Walt Disney World Resort is just around the riverbend, so I'm hoping I can help you navigate these waters for smooth sailing.
Theme park reservations are not required for everyone. They are needed for a few ticket and pass types, so it is good to know if you need one before you arrive at the gates. If you are using an annual pass, Disney Military Salute Ticket, student or conference group ticket, or a Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket, you need a reservation.
You do not need theme park reservations if you purchased a date-based ticket, meaning you selected the dates you wanted to use your tickets when you purchased them.
You can open the menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen) on the
My Disney Experience app and select the "My Tickets & Passes" tile at the top. If a theme park reservation is required, you should see a calendar icon labeled "Availability Calendar" or "Make a Theme Park Reservation" on the page with your theme park admission information. You can also log in and try to make a reservation. The site has tickets sorted to indicate those requiring a reservation and those not needing one.
If your ticket type requires a reservation, you can
check the availability calendar and make a theme park reservation online. You can also access the reservation system on the app by selecting "Park Reservations" on the menu page.
Currently, the availability calendar shows all four theme parks are open for theme park reservations on May 31. Hot dog! If you need one, you should be able to make a reservation easily and be ready to enjoy your day at the parks.
I hope you can sort out your plans and head to the parks for a day that is practically perfect in every way!
Please come back to
planDisney if you have any other questions as you plan your magical vacation.
Thinking of the Happiest Things!
