Thank you for visiting planDisney with your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question, Suzanne! I am glad you found our little Disney World corner of the internet!
Your itinerary for a June visit sounds perfect, and a lot has changed since your last visit in 2022. Depending on when you visited in 2022, this may be your first opportunity to enjoy my favorite attractions,
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT and
Tron Lightcycle / Run at the Magic Kingdom! I can’t forget to mention that
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is also opening on June 28th, so hopefully, you will be visiting The Most Magical Place On Earth and be able to enjoy this attraction, too!
To answer your question, since your last visit when reservations were required, Disney World has returned to
Date-Based Theme Park Tickets, which do not need a reservation. When you purchase your tickets, you will choose a start date that coincides with your arrival at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel or the first day you plan on visiting the parks. This will start the window of time that you have to use the number of days you purchased; the window is provided so that you don’t have to visit on consecutive days, and it allows flexibility to enjoy your resort. For example, if you were to buy a 4-Day Theme Park Ticket with the Park Hopper Option, you would not be required to make a park reservation, and you would have seven days from the start date you chose to visit the parks four times. The only problem you could run into would be a park reaching capacity, but typically, that only occurs during the holiday season.
Since it has been a few years since your last visit, have you familiarized yourself with
Disney Genie, Genie+, Lightning Lanes, Individual Lightning Lanes, and Virtual Queues? If not, I suggest you do some light reading on the topics so you are well prepared for your visit. Better yet,
submit me another question, and I will walk you through the different options!
Hope to see you real soon, Suzanne!
