Hi everyone!! Im planning my first disney vacation with my family.. However the only time both myslf and my husband can get off of work is feb 2 2013 for 10 days or feb 24 2013 for 10 days... can anyone tell me which time is better for weather crowds etc..

Hey Melanie!  How exciting that you are starting to plan your first of hopefully many more Walt Disney World Vacations!  For me, the planning of a Disney vacation is almost as much fun as the vacation itself! The unofficial website allears.net features a Historical Attendance Chart based on traditional crowd levels at Walt Disney World. According to the Historical Attendance Chart featured on allears.net, early February is listed as "lowest attendance" and late February is categorized as "moderate attendance."  DIsney's Princess Half Marathon will be held on February 24, 2013 so you may encounter higher crowds that day and possibly the first part of the week following the race. However, I think you will find both weeks that you are considering to have much lighter crowds than you would find during Spring Break Holidays, Christmas Holidays, and during the summer months. As a Georgia native and based on the weather we often see in February, the weather will probably be quite similar for both weeks with possible warming by the end of February. The average high in Orlando during the month of February is usually in the low 70s and the low temperatures in the high 40s. Although it's not uncommon to see a cold front come through in February and March, I have found the weather very favorable for park touring at that time of year.  You will most likely want to pack clothing that can be layered with jackets or sweaters for the evenings when the temperatures may drop. If it were me, I would probably choose early February to travel based on the Historical Attendance Chart and Disney's Princess Half Marathon being held on February 24, 2013. I hope this information helps!  Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions you may encounter as your planning progresses.  Best wishes for a Magical first Walt Disney World Vacation, Melanie!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
