Hi everyone, we have just decide to start planning our third trip. I am so excited. We are thinking of going in mid april. Our other trips have been in the fall. What will the crowds be like and the weather? Is there a better spring month to go? Thank you

Hi, Heather!  If you are planning on an April vacation, there is one thing you need to be aware of if you are leery of larger crowds.  Many schools are closed for spring break during the weeks before and after Easter.  Spring break is normally a busy time at the Walt Disney World theme parks, but when you get to the weeks right around Easter, it can be super busy.  It's not that you can't manage to do everything you want to do and have a great time.  Think of it as visiting the theme parks with several thousand of your new best friends!

If I had to pick a time in the spring when crowds are on the lower side, I would recommend the first week of May.  The spring break crowds are diminishing, as schools are back in session, universities are on their final exams and graduating, and people are much less likely to take their kids out of school that close to the end of the year.  The weather is a little bit warmer than you might find in April, but the earlier in the month you go, the better that will be as well.

Happy planning!  I hope your third trip is an exciting and wonderful as the others must have been to make you want to come back!
