Hi everyone. Have AKL booked for August 2020 but hoping for a 1 or 2 bed villa at OKW instead. No disrespect to AKL it’s just we are a mixed adult family and would love extra space. Do you know when the villas will be available to non DVC members to book?

    chEARs Lorna!

Thanks for hopping across the pond to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I must admit, I am a huge fan of ALL of the Resorts, but your two choices are some of the best for large families. Both of the Resorts offer a wide array of amenities - from hammocks at Disney’s Old Key West Resort to nighttime savanna viewing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. There is always something magical for everyone!

All of the Walt Disney World Resort properties can be booked 499 days in advance. I just went online to see how far out I could book, and the latest reservation I could make online started on December 31, 2020. So this should cover your planned vacation in August 2020. You can either book online or call (407) 939-4229.

If you have a friend or family member that belongs to Disney Vacation Club, and if Disney’s Old Key West Resort is their “home” Resort, they can book your stay 11 months in advance. If their home Resort is a different Disney Vacation Club property, they can book seven months before your check-in date.

Lorna, there are so many exciting things happening at Walt Disney World! By the time you get here, you will be able to fly through the skies on the brand new Disney Skyliner to the Planet of Batuu! I know you will have a Magical vacation! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back.
