Does every card on file to a room get charged the authorization fee or just the main card on file? Sharing a room with others and don't want them using our card and some don't have credit cards.

Hey Howdy Hey Kaitlyn and welcome to planDisney!

It is so exciting to hear that you will be on your Magical vacation really soon and will be sharing this experience with others. Any vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is one full of enchantment and is a perfect to share with friends and family. That being said, Disney does make it easy to modify your vacation experience the way you want, even when sharing a room and having several credit cards on file for your MagicBand purchases. Let's get to the details on how to get things situated.

If you are staying in a Disney Resort hotel with multiple people, you may need multiple credit cards for room charges and purchases with your MagicBands. While you can put a default card attached to your My Disney Experience account, you may want to stop by the front desk at check-in to clarify which card will be used for incidentals. A brief stop and quick rearranging by the Cast Members will get you situated.

Just a forewarning, Disney does have a policy that impacts credit card holds during your stay. On the day of check-in, there will be a $100 hold on the credit card on file for incidentals. This amount is subject to change but I would expect a hold to be placed. No matter what you charge, this will remain in place until your check-out date and as long as there are no incidents, this hold will be removed.

Best of luck as you continue to plan your Magical vacation and please let us know if you have any other questions. We are always happy to help!
