Ahoy there, April! We're so glad you sailed on by with your question.
Disney Cruise Line has some really fantastic
itineraries, but I always love a quick getaway to the
Bahamas. I think it's a very valid point to think about how cool it may be in October, especially if you're used to a balmy visit to the tropics.
The Bahamas is still quite warm in October, with the average high temperature during the day in the mid-80s. Water in the Bahamas stays mild all year long, but you can expect water temperatures in the mid to upper 70s in October.
Another great thing about October is that you are beginning to come out of the rainy season by then. August and September tend to be the rainiest months of the year, and then the number of rainy days begins to dip by October.
Most
Disney Cruise ships that go to the Bahamas make a stop at Disney's private island,
Castaway Cay. You'll find some fantastic
port adventures on the island, including boating, snorkeling, and biking. If you're looking for a quieter vibe, there are
Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Voyages and
float and tube rentals.
I hope the rest of your planning goes smoothly, April. If you find you need a little more help getting into ship-shape,
come on back and see us!
