Hello Hunter,
It sounds like you have a December visit to Walt Disney World Resort planned, and if so, I'm happy to help you navigate the various offerings.
Based on your travel dates, the parks and resorts will be
decked in all the festive trimmings and the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be in full swing. Just this morning, the
narrator lineup was released for the
Candlelight Processional, a tradition I have yet to experience in person, though it ranks high on my must-do list. If you plan to enjoy this beautiful retelling of the Christmas story, Brendan Fraser, Ralph Macchio, Gary Sinise, Neil Patrick Harris, and Pat Sajak are currently scheduled to narrate during your visit. You'll also find plenty of delicious food and beverage offerings, live Holiday Storytellers, and even have the chance to meet Old Saint Nick himself.
Plenty of
new holiday delights also await at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs should be brimming with plenty of cheer.
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, a separately ticketed event at Magic Kingdom Park will also have guests feeling very merry, indeed. If you'd like to experience this party during your visit tickets are
currently available for purchase. Keep in mind that Magic Kingdom Park will close early to daytime guests on nights when this party occurs (December 12, 13, 15, 17, and 19, during your travel dates). The same is true over at Disney's Hollywood Studios on evenings when
Disney Jollywood Nights, another ticketed seasonal celebration, occurs. This event is scheduled during your trip on December 14 and 18.
You can confirm the park hours and entertainment on the
Hours & Events calendar, which will continue to be updated day-by-day as your visit approaches. If you are staying at a Deluxe Resort or Deluxe Resort Villa, plan to take advantage of
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. It looks like EPCOT will be offering this on December 16, while Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park has them scheduled on December 18.
I also recommend enjoying the holiday decor, Christmas trees, and
gingerbread displays at participating resorts. This is one of my favorite seasonal activities, and perfect for an arrival or departure day as no theme park admission is required.
I hope this was helpful, Hunter. If we can answer any additional questions please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
