Hi Kevin!
You are going to love
Disney’s Beach Club Resort! This resort is known for a casual yet elegant coastal theme, amazing dining, and
Stormalong Bay, the best resort pool on property! As if these things aren’t amazing enough, you are a quick walk to
Epcot via the International Gateway and a boat ride away from
Disney’s Hollywood Studios.Upon arrival, you’ll receive the resort’s Recreation Calendar for the month. While Disney does not publish them online, several fan-based sites do, and a search of your favorite browser will sometimes help you find one in advance. While events are always subject to change, for August, you can expect pool games in the afternoons, and a
nightly campfire with marshmallow roasting at 7:30 pm. You’ll also find
Movies Under the Stars nightly at 9 pm located on the beach, with a different movie showing each evening. Up for a game of mini-golf?
Disney's Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf is about a 10 minute walk, and is open until 10pm on most nights. If you’d like to enjoy dinner at your resort, the
Cape May Cafe is one of my family’s favorites. For an upscale experience, I highly recommend
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
I would also recommend an evening stroll over to
Disney’s BoardWalk where you’ll find additional shopping and dining, carnival-style games, and street performers on select evenings. Grab an ice cream at
Ample Hills Creamery, or a drink at
Abracadabar and watch the people stroll by. How about a dueling piano bar?
Jellyrolls is a popular stop for those 21 and over.
I hope this helps and inspires some evening fun. Wishing you a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Kevin! Please let us know if you have more questions before your trip.
