Hi Megan!
My family and I adore the
Disney Dining Plan. We like the convenience that it offers and the peace of mind that comes with knowing all meals and snacks are paid for ahead of time. And enjoying all of the delicious foods at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do! Each time I visit, I eat a Mickey Mouse pretzel with cheese. I also love the chocolate and vanilla swirled ice cream from
Dinosaur Gertie's at
Disney's Hollywood Studios!
As you know, the Disney Dining Plan is temporarily unavailable. While dates for the return have not yet been announced, I am encouraged by the positive forward movement I'm seeing lately. For example, many restaurants are reopening, meet -n- greets with characters are returning, and the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is coming back to Pioneer Hall at
Disney’s Fort Wilderness this summer!
Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on the return of the Disney Dining Plan. In the meantime, I have a few other tips for you! Consider purchasing
Disney Gift Cards ahead of time in small increments. You can spend a little bit every week and tack it onto your grocery order. If you spend just $5-$10 each week, it adds up quickly and the next thing you know, you have a substantial amount of money set aside for Disney food and merchandise.
You can also save money on food in the parks by ordering
Quick Service meals from places with large portions, such as
Pecos Bills or
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. The portions are huge and you can share meals among two people.
Please reach out to planDisney if you have any other questions!
Magically,
Stacy
