Hi Erin,we would like to go to Disney in july but my daugther is just 2 years old ,she will be 3 at july,Do you think is a good idea ? or better wait for next year? Thanks

I think three is a wonderful age for Walt Disney World. I first took my oldest daughter to WDW when she was not quite three. We had such a fabulous time on that trip; it really set the stage for our ongoing love of Disney as the perfect vacation spot.

While your daughter won't be tall enough for the thrill rides, there are still plenty of attractions for little ones. In the Magic Kingdom alone you have: Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's Philharmagic, Small World, the teacups, Buzz Lightyear, Aladdin's Magic Carpets, the carousel, Country Bear Jamboree, Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise - and the list goes on and on.

The rides are obviously wonderful, but when our girls were three, I have to say that we had the best time with non-ride activities such as parades, fireworks, the pool at our hotel, and most especially character greetings and character meals. Our girls simply couldn't get enough of meeting the princesses, Mickey and Minnie, Pooh and all the other furry friends. When children are that young, they really believe in the magic. You can see it in their faces that all the fantasy is real to them. This is a priceless moment which you could miss if you wait even a year or two longer to visit.

One of the reasons we keep going back to WDW is that there are spot-on activities for ALL ages, from babies to senior citizens. Now that my girls are a teen and preteens, we haven't been on Dumbo in years. We focus on Expedition Everest and shopping at Downtown Disney. I LOVE enjoying these things with my children, but I would have been so sad to have missed out on seeing the World through their little-kid eyes.
