    Hi Erin, I have a DVC question. If you are a member & Disney runs a special like buy 4 get 3 how does that affect how many points you need to use if you want to come during that time? We are considering membership

    DVC membership and the occasional specials the Disney runs on room rates are completely unrelated. I personally have never seen "special" on the number of DVC points needed to reserve a room. (However, the DVC often runs specials and discounts on the cost of purchasing points.)

    DVC members who choose only to visit WDW using their points would lose out on the special promotion such as the one you mention. In the short term, that could feel a bit frustrating. But in the long term, I feel like our DVC membership has more than saved us what the occasional promotion would have.
