Erin, welcome back! Can I upgrade my 10 day ticket (purchased as a package) to the annual pass since I will be returning to WDW for several days in a few months? Cost?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm thrilled to be back answering questions on the Panel.

I just doubled checked with the Pass Holder Office at Walt Disney World (407) 560-7277. You are welcome to upgrade a base or Park Hopper ticket to an annual pass before you use the ticket, or within 14 days after first use of the ticket. This is true whether you purchased the park ticket separately or part of a package.

If you haven't gone on your vacation yet, you can call Disney at (407) W-DISNEY and ask them to change your package ticket to an AP. You can also upgrade your ticket at any park guest relations window while you are on vacation, up until 14 days after you first used the regular ticket.

The price charged will simply be the difference between the price you paid for the regular ticket and the current annual pass price. Of course this will vary depending on whether you had optional add-ons such as no-expire, Park Hopper, or Water Park Fun, or whether you want a regular or premium annual pass.

Unfortunately, if more than two weeks have passed since you used your ticket, you will be back at square one.

Good luck with your planning and let me know if you have any additional questions.
