Erin - We will vist Downtown Disney June 8 with tween girls ages 10 and 11. Planning dinner before we see Cirque du Soleil at a restaurant that has great food, an atmosphere the girls will enjoy, and is not very noisy (this is for me). Suggestions please!

There are several restaurants at Downtown Disney that are known for their high noise level, specifically these are the T-Rex Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and the Rainforest Cafe. While your girls might enjoy these, if you're looking for peace, you're going to want to avoid those.

I recently had a wonderful meal at Portobello (Italian cuisine) the food is great, but there's nothing particularly interesting for kids to look at there. Other good food can be found at Cap n' Jacks and Wolfgang Pucks.

As a compromise position, I would try either Raglan Road or the House of Blues. The themeing is fun and the food is yum at both these places, and while there is music (Irish and Blues, respectively) the volume and intensity is not as overwhelming as at the more kid-themed restaurants listed above. I think either of these choices would suit your family depending on your music preference.

Enjoy your meal and the Cirque show. My girls are ages 9 and 12 and they absolutely adore La Nouba. We're planning to see it for a second time later this year.
