Hi Erin, I am visiting WDW from 11/9/14 - 11/23/14. I am wanting to know about the weather and decorations. I see that 1 of the WaterParks will be open so I would assume that the temp will be good. We have been in May and Aug. Thank you

    Hi Teresa,

At least one of the water parks is open year-round. (In the winter, they alternate closing one of the water parks each year to do routine maintenance.) I've been to WDW in November several times and generally encounter good weather. The average daytime highs in mid-November are in the high 70s, which is generally quite nice for water play. The rainfall at that time of year is typically quite low, which also contributes to a good water park experience. With a nice long trip like yours, my guess is that you'll find several days that offer perfect water park conditions.

Regarding your decorations question -- The first date for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this year is November 7. This means that the Magic Kingdom will be decorated for the holidays by then. The other parks and resorts are usually not far behind the MK schedule. We don't have complete details for 2014 yet, but given historical trends, you'll probably find that all of Walt Disney World is decorated for Christmas by about Nov 15-17. This will give you plenty of time to check out the bling.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
