He Erin, THX 4 being so helpful! I've done my research and am ready to book, BUT I need to commit to a hotel. I've narrowed down to POR or CBR-Pirate room. DH, DS 2.5, DD5&DD8. Which is best considering we'll be using Disney Transportation? Disney fe

    Hi Yvette,

This is a tough choice, both Port Orleans and the Caribbean Beach Resort are wonderful hotels. My personal bias is toward Port Orleans, but some of that is just my personal preference for the landscaping and beauty of POR. If you're a beach lover, then CBR may appeal to you more. You can't go wrong either way, but let me list some of the reasons I'd choose POR:

    - There are some trundle bed rooms at POR (these must be requested in advance). If your youngest child will sleep in a low bed, this is a great way to get the crib out of the room -- saving you tons of space. If your son does not sleep in a crib at home, you should know that he would have to at CBR.

    - The Pirate Rooms at CBR are in the Trinidad South section, which is the farthest possible distance from the food court and other main building amenities. You could request to be closer, but you would be in a Nemo room rather than a pirate room.

    - Port Orleans has boat transportation to Downtown Disney. This is a wonderful, relaxing way to get to the shopping, dining, and entertainment options at DD.

Good luck with your planning and have a wonderful stay at WDW.
