Hi Erin, Thank you so much for all of the valuable first-hand info. I read your answer about the concierge printing boarding passes (flying on Southwest). I've never used a concierge. Is there a fee for their service, and/or should I offer a gratuity?

The Disney resorts all have a guest relations or concierge desk in the their main lobby. (This is slightly different than the more private help you might get if you were to stay in a concierge level room in  one of the resort hotels). Simply walk up to the desk and ask the cast member there to help you with printing boarding passes. It should take about 2-3 minutes maximum. There is no fee for this service. If you wanted to offer a small gratuity ($5), it would probably be appreciated, but my understanding is that this is not necessary.

For many airlines, you can actually check your luggage onto your flight from your hotel lobby. (Think curbside check-in only at the hotel instead.) This check-in desk can also print boarding passes for resort guests, but unfortunately as of now (March 2008) Southwest does not participate in this service, so you'll have to go to the concierge.
