Hi Erin! Thank you for your answer! Quick followup ? We are departing WDW Oct 16. What "season" do you think this will be for pool hours at POR & POFQ. The kids would like to get in a morning swim before we leave-assuming it's warm enough!

I just made a quick call to WDW and was told that the normal opening time for the main themed pools at both Port Orleans resorts is 7:00 a.m. during the fall. There is always some chance that this could change, but this is what has been historically true. The WDW pools are heated year round. My kids have been perfectly happy in the water at WDW even when the outdoor temperature was in the 50s. I will confess that I sent hubby in the water to supervise them on that visit. I was cuddled in a sweatshirt with a magazine in a nice dry lounge chair. Hey, a girl's got to take care of herself sometimes :-)

Hope you have a great trip!
