Hi Erin! We are staying at BLT and will have our car for the 1st time. Been on many trips but always use WDW transportation. We will walk to MK & use monorail to Epcot. Do you suggest the buses or our car when traveling to AK and DHS? Myself, DH, &

    Hi Erica,

I've stayed at Bay Lake Tower several times. I LOVE the location!

I think you have a good handle on the transportation situation. When I stay at BLT, I walk to the Magic Kingdom and take the monorail to Epcot.

When I'm staying at BLT and have a car, I'll drive to the Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. I've found that it's easier to have a bit more control about when to come and go.

The only time I wouldn't drive to those spots is if I'm going to visit Epcot and DHS on the same day. For example, sometimes I'll go to DHS in the morning and then plan a lunch or dinner for Epcot that same day. In that case, I'd take the bus to DHS, take the boat or walk from DHS to Epcot, and then take the monorail back to BLT.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know how else we can help.
