Hi, Erin. Son turns 7 on 4/12 - want advice on how 2 celebrate bday in the pm. Have ADR @ Mama Flora's 5:15 but will go anywhere for something fun. Doing pirate dress up in am @ MK. No chance of ADR for Tomorrowland Dessert Party - called 4 wks no avail.

Hi Jennifer and Happy Birthday to your son.

I assume you mean that you're having dinner at Mama Melrose at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If that's the case you could stay at DHS and go to the Fantasmic show. It's usually a big hit with boys who like dragons and villains. The Indiana Jones and Lights Motors Action shows at DHS are also popular with young boys.

If you wanted to head to Downtown Disney, some things that might work are:

    - Seeing a movie at the AMC theaters
    - Bowling at Splitsville
    - Making a special shirt at the Hanes Build-A-Tee store
    - Creating a custom chocolate dessert at Goofy's Candy Company
    - Building a custom light saber at the Once Upon a Toy store
    - Hitting the giant indoor arcade at DisneyQuest
    - Seeing the amazing Cirque du Soliel La Nouba show.

For a boy who likes sweets, head over to Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club resort and order the Kitchen Sink - which has a zillion scoops of ice cream, candy bars, brownies, cake, bananas, toppings, and a whole can of cream topping. Even if you don't come anywhere near finishing it, it's a GREAT photo opportunity. After dessert, you can rent a surrey bike and ride around the Boardwalk.

If you'd like something homey feeling, go to Fort Wilderness for the Chip & Dale singalong. This free show happens nightly, weather permitting. There is a singing cowboy, everybody's favorite chipmunks, and an outdoor big screen movie. All are welcome.

I'm happy to give you more information about any of these items or offer up other suggestion based on your son's interests. Just let us know what you need.
