I cherish my annual solo vacation to Walt Disney World; it's the thing that keeps me sane, well almost sane, during the rest of the year :-)
If there is any restaurant that you MUST dine at, having a reservation is important, even as a singleton. For example, at Cinderella's Royal Table, even a solo diner will have trouble getting in. That being said, I personally have had good luck as a solo walk-up diner at WDW. I have had success walking up alone to the Crystal Palace, Yak & Yeti, Rose & Crown, Boma, and many others in the parks and resorts and being seated quickly.
