Hi Erin, You seem to be a "foodie" like myself so I thought maybe you could help. To maximize our signature dining can my husband and I share an entree/dessert and use 2 credits instead of 4 at sig restaurants? Don't want to be embarassed! : )

Hi Sarah, you certainly know me well. Eating (and then eating some more) is my family's favorite part of our Disney vacations.

I'd like to tell you that your plan will work, but unfortunately I can't. Guest who are paying with money (cash, credit card, etc.) are welcome to customize their dining by splitting meals or doing things like ordering appetizers for their main meal. But on the Disney Dining Plan, you really have to stick with the plan.

The official rules of the Plan will not allow guests to split meals to economize on credits. Each person at the meal must use his or her credits to dine there. However, that being said, it never hurts to ask. You may, on occasion, find a sympathetic waitstaff cast member who is willing to help you out by bending the rules.

    Good luck!
