Erin, Is there a restaurant that serves food similar to the 'snack' served on the Wild Africa Trek? My son saw your piece on disneyfoodblog.com and is now hungry for another trip to WDW. Is there a Moms Panel video of the tour we can expect to see soon?

    Hi Rochelle -

I'm glad you and your son enjoyed the piece on DisneyFoodBlog.com.

I wish I had better news for you. Unfortunately, there is nowhere else at Walt Disney World that has a meal similar to that served on the Wild Africa Trek. The Jungle Juice can be found at Boma and Tusker House, and similar yogurt can be found in many places (but without the granola topping), but there is nothing that compares to the entire meal package. I sure wish there was, because I'd be there in a heartbeat. The Wild Africa Trek food was one of the most creative and appealing presentations I've ever seen.

As for as Moms Panel video of the Trek -- that's a GREAT idea (I'd certainly be first in line to volunteer to shoot it), but I'm sorry to say I haven't heard of any plans for this. There are a few videos of the Trek available on the web. The Disney Parks Blog has some footage HERE. Additionally, blogger Ricky Brigante has film on the website InsidetheMagic.net. Look there for a post called "Wild Africa Trek Offers Ultimate Theme Park Safari." You should be able to get a good idea what happens on the Trek from these articles.

    Happy planning!
