Hi Erin! Another question... does the pull down bed at the Fort Wilderness Cabins have a REAL mattress? One that would be comfortable to sleep on for an adult for 8 nights? Or is it more of a pull out couch bed type of mattress? Thanks!

While I have seen the pull-down Murphy beds at the Fort Wilderness cabins, I have not slept on one of them myself. This this is what I know ...

The beds pull down from the wall in a single large flat plane. The mattress does not bend or fold out. There is no giant bar to poke you in the middle of the bed. The mattress itself is thicker than the ones that are in the pull-out couches in the Disney villas, but not as thick as a standard mattress. It looked to me like I would get a fine night's sleep there. If you're concerned, perhaps a solution would be to rotate beds with other members of your family every few nights so that each person had a turn on the Murphy.

The cabins themselves are quite spacious and are made even more comfortable by having the outdoor area to enjoy. It's really like having your own little house right there at WDW!
