Hi, Erin. I love this panel! My DH, DS 9, DD 6 , & I will be in WDW June 1-8, 2009. We plan to eat at California Grill June 1 to celebrate our 13th anniversary. What time should I make ADR to see Wishes w/o keeping kids out too late? Thanks!

I had Thanksgiving dinner this year at the California Grill with my family. We were able to time our reservation so that they brought us dessert just as the Wishes fireworks were starting. This was such a special experience to share this event together on a day that was so meaningful for us. Plus, that holiday pumpkin cheesecake was pretty special too :-)

Sharing the Wishes experience with your family on your anniversary sounds like a spectacular idea, but I'm not sure you'll be able to do this without keeping your kids up late. The timing of Wishes varies considerably depending on the time of year -- mostly because in order to have the fireworks, it has to be dark out. The June 2009 park calendar has not yet been released. (Keep checking back HERE to find it.) However, the independent website intercot.com has a great archive of historical park hours. I just double checked there and found that in both 2007 and 2008, Wishes was shown at 10:00 p.m. for the entire month of June. It would be a safe guess that Wishes will be at 10:00 in 2009 as well.

If you were to start dinner any time after about 8:15, you could easily be in the restaurant for Wishes, but that might be a little late for your kids. Perhaps if you were able to get them a nap that day or let them sleep in the next day it might work out. It all depends on the flexibility of their sleep schedule.
