Hi, Erin, I know that you do solo trips to wdw. I am going alone 1/24-1/31. I would like to dine a tCinderella's table. Wishes start at 8:00, do you think that I should dine at CT at 7:00 that night? Or should I dine earlier or later.

    Hi Dawn,

I have taken several solo vacations to Walt Disney World. I find this a wonderful way to relax!

As a first step, I should tell you that it may be difficult to secure a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table, even as a solo diner. This is one of Disney's most popular restaurants and it is generally fully booked many months in advance.

But let's assume that you can get in ...

A meal at Cinderella's Royal Table generally takes about an hour. If you dine at 7:00, you will be finishing your meal just as Wishes is beginning. To me, this is cutting it just a teeeny bit close. You cannot see Wishes from inside the castle, so you want to done eating and back outside when the show starts. I would feel more comfortable having you eat at 6:45. This way you have a little buffer in there just in case the restaurant is running late. If the restaurant is running on time, then that extra 15 minutes will allow you to exit CRT and make your way through the crowd to a good viewing spot. I like watching Wishes on the bridge between the main hub and Tomorrowland.

The Wishes performance last about 20 minutes. If you want to eat after the fireworks, you should book a meal for sometime after 8:30 or 8:35. Even if you are in the park, it will take a few minutes to navigate the crowd and get to the check-in podium for the restaurant.

Good luck and have a wonderful vacation!
