Hi Erin! We hv a 4 day MYW base tkts and am thinking of adding a water park into our itin on the 5th day. I'm worried that my 23 mths old will not be able to enjoy the attractions. She's 35" tall. Which 1 of the 2 water parks is more toddler friendly?

A trip to WDW would not be complete for my family without a trip to the water parks. So much fun!

While little ones can have a great time at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, if I had to choose, I'd pick Typhoon Lagoon for a toddler or preschooler. Ketchakiddie Creek is the dedicated area there for children 48" inches and under. You'll find mini slides, splash zones, interactive fountains, and lots of sandy areas for out-of-the-water play. In addition to the dedicated play area for smaller kids, your toddler is welcome to enjoy the surf pool, Castaway Creek, Gangplank Falls, Keelhaul Falls, Mayday Falls, and even Shark Reef with the rest of the family. Your comfort with some of these activities may be enhanced if you borrow one of the free life vests that is available to all water park guests.

To take a closer look at water park fun, you can go to the video section of the Moms Panel site where you'll find a film of me interacting with two of my daughters at Typhoon Lagoon. Much of the video takes place at Ketchakiddie Creek so you can see what that looks like. Click on the video box on the right hand side of the page and then click through till you find the segment called "Water Park Fun".
