Erin, we are heading to WDW on the 24th, staying at Beach Club for the first time and are so excited! We chose this resort to be near Hollywood Studios for Star Wars weekend. What is the easiest way for our family to get to Hollywood-ferry or to walk?

    Hi Jennifer,

You've made an excellent choice by staying at the Beach Club. In addition to having a fabulous location close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, it has the best pool at Walt Disney World and easy access to dozens of wonderful restaurants.

The walking path from the Beach Club to DHS is flat and well marked, but it is about a mile away. It will take most healthy adults somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-20 minutes. (By comparison, Epcot is about a five minute walk.) When I stay at the Beach Club, I often walk to DHS in the morning, when the weather is cool and I have lots of energy. Then when I return to the hotel in the afternoon or evening, and I'm tired from a day in the parks, I'll take the boat. The boat will also take about 15 minutes to get to DHS, but you'll save some shoe leather. My guess is that you'll end up walking and riding to DHS at various points during your trip.

May the force be with you during your vacation. And please let us know if you need any additional assistance.
