Erin, glad to see you back:) Your answers are always so helpful. ok....i've noticed that juice is no longer listed under breakfast on all of the 2011 dining plan brochures. Does that mean you only get an entree & non-alcoholic dringk for breakfast? Tx

Hi Janet. Thank you so much for the kind words; they truly mean the world to me.

You are correct that there has been a change in the 2011 Disney Dining Plan vs. the 2010 version. Previously, the Dining Plan breakfasts included an entree, a juice, and a non-alcoholic beverage. This effectively meant that you could have coffee AND juice with your pancakes. There has been a change and now the breakfast includes an entree and a non-alcoholic beverage (coffee, tea, milk, or if you're like my husband, soda), but not the juice.

There are some cases where this change really has no impact. If you're using a table service credit for breakfast, in many cases the credit is used for a complete meal. For example, at all the character buffet breakfasts, everything you eat/drink (except alcohol) is included with the meal. You would be welcome here to have coffee and juice (and milk too) if you wanted because they are all part of the meal package.

Another place where there would be less impact is for guests on the Quick Serve Only version of the Dining Plan, assuming that they dine at their resort. The Quick Service meal plan includes a refillable mug. The mug could be used for tea/coffee/soda and the beverage portion of the meal plan could be used for an additional drink.

I have a feeling that this is going to be one of those changes which raise a lot of confusion, among both guests and cast members who are used to the previous versions of the Plan. My guess is that the change will be only intermittently enforce. However, that is just my personal gut reaction and not based on any real data.

    Good luck!
