Erin F.Thank you! Let's start with finding a hotel. We need a washer/dryer, beds for 5, (not sure about these pull out chairs, sofas and tables:), kitchen. Can the rooms be specially cleaned for us & r medical issues?Should I mail sheets etc. to hotel:)

    Hi Karen,

Thank you for writing back. We're here to help you every step of the way.

The rooms that have both a washer/dryer and a full kitchen are the one, two, and three bedroom villas. These are available at seven resorts: Bay Lake Tower (Contemporary), Beach Club, Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Saratoga Springs, and Old Key West.

The one bedroom units at Bay Lake Tower and Animal Kingdom Lodge sleep up to five guests, but some of this is on pull out chairs/couches. If you want to sleep five guests on real beds, with a washer/dryer, and a full kitchen, you'll need at least a two bedroom unit at any of the resorts listed above. These rooms are WONDERFUL, but they can be a bit pricey. To economize, you should consider traveling during the value season, when rates can be as much as half off the holiday price. There are also often discounts listed on the independent website mousesavers.com. If this still seems like too much, you may want to investigate off site rentals. A good place to start is the rental agency allstarvacationhomes.com.

Disney does offer a special deep cleaning service upon request for asthmatic and allergic guests. Once you figure out where you're staying, you can speak to the resort directly for details about whether their specifications for linens are sufficient or if you need something different.

A great resource for you is the book PassPorter's Open Mouse for Walt Disney World. This is available through Amazon.com and larger booksellers. It is entirely devoted to navigating WDW with medical challenges.

Please keep writing back with more questions. We want your family to have a magical vacation.
