Hi Erin! Don't know what I'd do w/out the panel! ?on picking a tbl service ADR.Would like family style dinner but have heard mixed reviews about the speed of plate/drink refills.Which would you recommend-Ohana,Garden Grill or Whispering Canyon? Thanks!

    Hi Sabrina,

I've dined at all three of those restaurants with great success. I've never had a problem with slow service. In fact, I can recall one dinner at Ohana where we actually asked our server to slow down a bit with bringing more food because we needed a few moments to digest.

Truly, all of these are great choices. You're not going to go wrong with any of them. As to which of these to try, that depends a bit on your personal food preference, the ages of the members of your party and where you'll be touring. Garden Grill is a character meal, so if you have kids in your group, that could be a big plus. Also, the restaurant revolves while you eat, the dining room is actually turning. If members of your party have never experienced something like that, this could be a real novel treat for them. Also, if you happen to be touring Epcot that day, the Garden Grill would be the most convenient location.

Whispering Canyon is loads of fun. It's one of my family's favorite spots. The interesting point here is that while there are family-style Western skillets, there is also a regular menu. So if one or two members of your group want something different, they have other options.

Ohana and Whispering Canyon, both convenient to the Magic Kingdom, are very meat-based experiences in the family style foods. Carnivores will be pleased at either.

Ohana has one of the best desserts at WDW. The bread pudding is seriously one of my all time faves at any restaurant anywhere.

I think if I absolutely HAD to choose one of these spots, I'd go with Ohana, but it's an extremely difficult choice. You'll just have to make more trips to WDW to experience them all.
