Hi Erin! We're considering doing 1 Signature Dining during our stay 8/29 - 9/6. Please help by recommending your top 3 keeping in mind we have 2 boys ages 9 and 12 :)

I am all about signature dining at WDW. This Mom LOVES having a gourmet meal - and where else can you go for fine dining with kids in tow. I've been taking my daughters to the Disney signature meals since they were four years old. Really, any of the signature restaurants (except Victoria & Alberts) is well equipped to handle kids of any age.

There are wonderful dishes to be had at all of the signature locations, but since you're making me choose three, here's what I'd pick:

    - Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Seriously one of the best meals I've ever had, and bear in mind that I lived in Manhattan for a decade and ate at most of the Zagat top picks in the City. As an added bonus for your boys, before or after dinner you can take a walk around the magnificent AKL. The animal habitats are amazing. In the evening, you can even borrow night-vision goggles to see the animal behaviors in the dark.

    - Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge. I adore the cedar salmon beyond words. I find the decor here the most relaxing of any WDW restaurant. It's the exact right balance of elegant and casual -- not the least bit intimidating. The grounds here are also fun for kids. After dinner take a walk over to the pool area and watch the geyers blow.

    - California Grill at the Contemporary. Great food. Even great wine list. The best part is if you can time it so that you're in the restaurant during the evening WIshes fireworks performance. Every table has a great view. Pure magic!

All of these are heaven on a plate. Happy choosing!
