Hi Erin. We are coming Oct 24-30. How is the weather? Do we need long pants or will shorts be enough? Do you think we need sweatshirts at night? By the way, this panel is my daily addiction!!!

    Hi Jaynee,

I'm so glad the Moms Panel helps with your Disney trip planning.

The average daytime high at Walt Disney World in late October is about 80 degrees, while the average nighttime low is about 60 degrees. Bear in mind that those are just averages. It's certainly possible that the nighttime temperatures could dip into the lower 50s, which to me would be jeans and sweatshirt weather. Personally, I would pack mostly shorts and t's, but would have at least one or two long pants and light jackets in my bag.

You may want to check the forecast at weather.com a day or two before your visit. With the up to date information, you can do some last minute tweaking of your packing to best reflect the actual circumstances.

Or you may want to decide to leave the sweatshirt/jacket out of your bag and plan to buy one at Walt Disney World. There are many great Disney sweatshirts that make perfect souvenirs to bring home. You can wear them during your trip and when you're back in Indiana.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
