Hi Erin, there have been many articles about Disney cutting back on bus transportation Since you just returned, can you comment on your most recent experiences We plan to use a car service to & from the airport & Disney for travel within WDW Thanks

    Hi Karen,

I'm a big collector of Disney-related info. I have to tell you that other than some chat board chatter, I have not seen "many articles" about transportation issues at WDW. I was at WDW this past weekend and one of the things I did was work on a transportation project. This meant that my twins and I spent about two hours just hanging out at the Magic Kingdom transportation transit area. We watched a non-stop stream of buses, boats, and monorails pull up to the park, depositing guests for a day of fun. I did not notice any slow-down of any of those forms of transportation.

My own personal transportation at WDW worked smoothly too. We took a taxi from the airport to the Boardwalk resort, but otherwise we relied on Disney transport. Now that I'm thinking back, we actually had much less bus and boat wait time on this trip than we have had on other 2007/2008 trips. We could have just been lucky, but I don't think we could have been that lucky if anything was amiss.

...Now if only our air trip back to NY had gone as smoothly as the WDW buses. That nine hour delay at Orlando International with two kids, THAT was a challenge :-)
