Hi Carla,

Just to make sure my memory wasn't playing tricks on me, I went back to my stash of Disney photos and found a recent sign at the Grand Floridian stating that the monorail hours start at 6:30 am. AND I found a photo at the same place stating that the monorail starts running at 7:00 am. So, I wasn't wrong, but this tells me that the monorail operating hours are seasonal. The best thing for you to do is stop at the front desk of your hotel when you arrive and ask them about the hours that apply to your stay.

There are two monorail lines that pass through the Transportation and Ticket Center. There is a direct monorail from the TTC to the Magic Kingdom and a Resort Line monorail that runs from the TTC to the Grand Floridian, MK, Contemporary, and the Polynesian. The Resort Line monorail will often start running earlier to accommodate guests who have 7:00 am breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's and other character meals.
