Eriin, thank you for answering my question about table service with two 4 year olds. I quess I have narrowed my decision for our resort to either the Port Orleans French Quarter or the Riverside. I would like your opinion on these resorts.

Of these two, I have only actually stayed at Riverside, but I have spent time at the French Quarter at the pool and in the restaurants. They are both lovely resorts and are nearly identical in terms of amenities. One bonus of Port Orleans is that guests of either resort are welcome to use the facilities of the other, so you have many more choices of pools and restaurants at your disposal. There are beautifully maintained walking paths between the two resorts, as well as bike rentals. Here are some of my observations about the two:

Riverside is a larger resort with multiple bus stops, I find that it is a bit easier to get lost there than at FQ.

    Riverside has more pools.

FQ feels more refined, Riverside feels more relaxed, but they are both very family friendly.

The fresh made bengiets at the FQ food court are sublime.

The marina and recreation rentals are at Riverside.

It really is a toss-up. If I had to choose, I'd go with French Quarter, just because if might be less overwhelming to a first time visitor, but there are advantages to Riverside as well. In either case, you'll find the experiences to be quite similar.

    Have a great trip!
