Cheers, Amanda, and welcome to planDisney! Your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is coming up soon, and it sounds like you're ready to take on the world...the World Showcase at EPCOT, that is. I've become a loyal
EPCOT fan in recent years, mainly because of the variety of food and drinks there. Disney Parks do a fabulous job including options for all dietary needs and tastes. For example, this year's
Garden Graze food stroll during the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is entirely plant-based, and I can personally vouch for how delicious the dishes are! But you're interested in libations, so let's look at some fun and refreshing drinks for those who prefer mocktails to cocktails.
The popular challenge, Drinking Around the World, is an informal activity that can be interpreted and adapted to any guest's desire and palate. My husband and I aim for a mixture of snacks, cocktails, and mocktails as we make our way around the World Showcase with the goal of having one item from each of the 11 pavilions. So, you can design your own stroll around the world, Amanda!
As for non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails, you will find a great variety in World Celebration. Of course, menu items are subject to change, and there will be exclusive offerings at the festival booths, but rest assured you will have options. For example, at
La Cantina de San Angel, ask for the La Cantina Slushy for a non-alcoholic take on a frozen margarita, and the view there can't be beat. Another fun option is to check out the current non-alcoholic beer at
Rose & Crown Pub. I tried one last year, and it was the perfect drink to sip on a hot day. And who can resist a sweet treat like the
Maple Popcorn Shake, often found at Canada's Outdoor Kitchen during festivals? One final tip to check with your server because many cocktails can be modified to be non-alcoholic.
Amanda, I hope you raise your glass on your upcoming visit, and maybe I'll see you at last call. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
