Welcome to planDisney, Jessica!
I can understand why you are interested in experiencing one of the seasonal festivals at EPCOT. Strolling around the park while noshing on all the delicious bites and sips is one of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World Resort.
While the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival ends this year on November 19, The
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays begins just a few days later, with the
Holiday Kitchens opening on November 25. Choosing my favorite festival is like choosing a favorite child, but there is something so magical about the Festival of the Holidays with all the seasonal decor and holiday entertainment. One of my absolute must-dos is the
Candlelight Processional, held each evening in the America Gardens Theatre. I have attended this beautiful show many times, and I am always completely blown away by the beautiful music and traditional carols sung by a massed choir and an incredible orchestra. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the Foodie Guide to this year's festival -- I would expect it to be released by mid-November. I always eagerly await the seasonal
Foodie Guides with their drool-worth photos and descriptions of each item available at the festival.
Hopefully, you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort for a few days and will be able to catch the start of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. If not, no worries! There are so many wonderful dishes and treats available all year long. Two of my top favorites are the Werther's Original Caramel Gingerbread Cookie Sandwich available at
Karamell-Küche in the Germany pavilion (buy extra to bring home -- trust me on this one!) and the seasonal Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich at
L'Artisan des Glaces in the France pavilion. If you would like additional suggestions for a create-your-own food tour of EPCOT, please feel free to write us back -- we'll be happy to help.
Wishing you a wonderful visit!
