We are going to Epcot as part of our Dec. vacation. I've heard there are characters at select Pavillons. My daughter would love to meet Mulan and Mary Poppins. Are there times the characters are present and how do we find out in advance? Tips? Thanks!!

    Hi Lisa,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Lucky you to be visiting Walt Disney World in December!  I love that time of year, with parks and resorts fully decked out for the holidays and so many special treats and events to enjoy.

You've heard correctly!  Many of the countries around World Showcase at Epcot do offer character experiences.  Generally, you'll find Mulan in China and Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom, along with Aladdin and Jasmine in Morocco, El Pato Donald Duck in Mexico, Princess Aurora in France, Snow White in Germany, and Alice and Winnie the Pooh and his pals in the United Kingdom.  If you'd like to get an idea of the times Mulan and Mary Poppins will be appearing on the day you'll be visiting, your best bet will be to check this page of the website (just be sure you select the date in the upper right first).  When you're on vacation, I also love using the My Disney Experience mobile app for the most up-to-date information.  You can find appearance times on the app by choosing "Characters" on the top and the theme park at the bottom to find out the schedule on the day you're visiting.

I hope that helps with your planning, Lisa, but please stop by again if we can help answer any other questions.  We'd love to hEAR from you again soon!
