Have you been to Epcot on New Year's Eve? Enjoyed HS so much last year but wanted to try a different park to bring in New Year this time around...suggestions? I have heard that MK is difficult to exit after midnight, true? Thanks Mom's!

Hi, Karyn!  I love EPCOT on New Year's Eve.  I always feel like EPCOT can be filled to capacity, but it still feels like there's room to walk around and enjoy things.  There is usually a special showing of Illuminations, and if you just hang in for a little bit, you shouldn't have any trouble leaving at all.  If you try to race out with the bulk of the crowd, you are going to take longer to get out than you will if you just wait a few minutes.

If I had to compare the atmosphere, I would say there is more of a party thing going on at Hollywood Studios, but I just love EPCOT.

The Magic Kingdom does have extended hours, so pretty much the same thing holds true.  You'll find loads of people leaving after the midnight fireworks, especially families with young children.  Once you let the bulk of the crowd exit, it's a little easier to get out and get transportation back to your resort.

I will tell you that once you decide which resort you want to be in at midnight, plan on getting there early in the day and staying!  The parks can fill up and close to additional guests if capacity is reached.  You don't want to be disappointed on New Year's Eve!

    Have a wonderful trip!
