We will be at Epcot on March 8 2009, same day that the Princess Half Marathon. Since it starts and ends at Epcot, can you tell me if there will be attraction closures on that morning? And since we plan to drive there, will there be road closures as well?

Thanks for the question, Stephan. I made several calls on your excellent question, and I was informed that as of this point, no closures have been yet announced. Historically, attractions are not closed during Disney races. Having participated in the Disney half marathon, some lanes were closed early in the day. I would check with your resort before the race, and they should be able to provide you with details of any road closures.

In looking at the race route, runners start at Epcot and run to the Magic Kingdom via the Boardwalk, then back to Epcot through the Contemporary side. Click here to view the race route. For more information on the race itself, click here.

If you see any runners, be sure to give them a big shout out - it really helps!
